The Haidersee is located near the village of St. Valentin auf der Haide at 1450 m, framed by the wonderful mountains of the Vinschgau Oberland. It is known as one of the richest fish, the most beautiful and natural lakes in the entire Alpine region. The natural lake extends over 89 hectares and is up to 15 meters deep. Various types of trout, pike, perch and, above all, whitefish cavort in the lake.
The Haidersee is not only known as a fishing paradise for connoisseurs, but also as a resort for nature lovers and hikers. The circular walk promises relaxing, enjoyable and educational moments in the biotopes and on the shores of Lake Haider.
