The election has been going on for over ten years and we are proud that for the first time a woman has been named “Fisherwoman of the Year”. “A big thank you to everyone who voted for me,” explains the Swiss Yvonne Arnold, who works during your vacation in the Styrian ABENTEUER FISCHWASSER company “Gasthof zur Gams took a photo and submitted it for the election of the “Fisherman of the Year”. What is the fascinating thing about fishing for you?
I enjoy the silence in nature and at the same time I have a lot of exercise. I especially enjoy fly fishing and boat angling.
Why would you recommend Austria and South Tyrol as holiday destinations?
The hospitality, the landscape, the many fish-rich waters, the food and the simplicity are simply great and make your stay a dream vacation.
Is fishing trendy?
Yes, and how! More and more women are discovering the hobby for themselves. So I’m very proud to be the first fisherwoman of the year!
Do you have a good tip for young anglers?
Please adhere to the rules even if it is difficult. Never lose patience – everyone will achieve their goal.
